Ho Ho Ho! It’s time for our second project for Gingerbread and Gumdrops! These Gingerbread Gift Ball Ornaments are perfect to make to hold gift cards or yummy candy for a Christmas party favor. It also makes for a great hostess gift. Or leave them empty and use them to make your tree a little bit sweeter!

Supplies:

  • Plastic Gift Ball Ornament (Plastic gift balls snap together)
  • Autumn Brown – Rust-Oleum multicolor textured spray paint
  • Painters tape
  • Black, White, Pink and Red Tulip dimensional paint
  • 2 small red buttons
  • Ribbon
  • Twine
  • Hot glue gun

Instructions:

Before spray painting ornaments, wrap ornament ball with painters tape where the two sides snap together.

Spray paint outside of ornament and let paint dry. Remove tape.

Design a gingerbread face to one side of the ornament ball. Use white Tulip paint for frosting detail, black for eyes and smiley face, and pink Tulip paint for nose.

Use red Tulip paint for the ends of your smiley face, and attach two red buttons to paint. Let paint dry.

Tie bow and glue to top of ornament ball.

Add a small piece of twine for hanging.

Fill your ornament gift ball with candy, gift cards, or any small gift items. This Gingerbread ornament Ball, makes the perfect Holiday Gift.
