It never ceases to amaze me how you can meet a person and feel like instant friends. It’s like a small piece of your soul leaps when you meet someone that you just know is meant to be in your life.
At the O.C. show I had the honor to meet Vickie Taylor, the author of “The Impatient Jordan Series.” Vickie’s booth was right across from ours and I met her the during the set up, along with her sweet son. I have to tell you, as soon as I spoke to her, I knew instantly that she was not just an author but a Lioness. That is the best word I can use to describe how I felt about her.
Lionesses are bold, confident, cunning, creative, protective and nurturing to their children-and that is Vickie. In one meeting I knew I loved this woman. I would like to share her work with you today!
The Impatient Jordan Series
Vickie Taylor is a practicing LVN Case Manager in Southern California. She has a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services. Having worked as a pediatric nurse and conducted research on children and lung cancer, she realized that children needed a voice. Being the mother of an autistic child and wanting to provide a communication vessel through her books, she wants to show that all children can have a wonderful and productive life. Written over fifteen years ago “A Birthday Cake like Me” is her first children’s book in the “Impatient Jordan Series”
I love that Vickie states that all children need a voice! That is so important and we believe at Play. Create. Grow. that through creativity, imagination and play, children can have that voice and do anything they set their minds too! I feel so blessed that we were able to meet Vickie and look forward to seeing her again!
